The Holiday Inn Express chain, sometimes known as Express by Holiday Inn, is a mid-range hotel brand owned by the InterContinental Hotels Group, who also own Crowne Plaza among other hotel chains. The hotels usually have around 60 to 80 spacious rooms. This hotel has 90 rooms, a restaurant and a bar.
Location
The hotel is located in the business park just outside the airport, a five-minute walk away.
Parking
Parking is available on-site for 93 cars, but it costs £8.50 a day and must be reserved in advance.
Rooms
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities, satellite TV and ensuite power showers. Rooms are either twins or doubles; doubles come with a sofa bed which sleeps two, and children under 18 sharing their parents’ rooms go free. There are five accessible rooms also. Facilities
There are four meeting rooms with flexible layout, the largest of which holds a maximum of 40 people. The rooms are light and airy and have temperature control. Food and drink can be supplied throughout the day to business users.
A hot breakfast is included in all room rates, and is served from 6.30 to 9.30am on weekdays and from 7 to 10am on weekends and bank holidays. The bar serves a decent lunch menu and dinner. Simple meals are served for dinner in the Great Room between 6 and 9pm daily.
Wifi is free in all public areas. There is also a computer with internet access available. Ten minutes internet use is £1.
